Seeking technologies to reduce GHGs in all aspects of the supply chain and manufacturing process. |
| |
PepsiCo is committed to reducing GHG emissions from seed to shelf. We are looking to engage with partners who can assist us in our goal of reducing GHG 20% by 2030 and achieving net-zero emissions by 2050. As new technologies emerge, efficiencies will be gained and PepsiCo aims to remain at the forefront of best practices in the food and beverage industry. PepsiCo is seeking technologies to reduce GHGs in all aspects of the supply chain and manufacturing process. Solutions may be in one or more of the following areas: • Agriculture – sustainable farming and the reduction of GHG intensive fertilizers • Manufacturing – adopting energy efficient manufacturing processes; novel methods for utilizing waste; use of renewable thermal energy at scale • Packaging – alternative packaging materials and formats that reduce GHGs • Distribution – technologies to assist in the efficiency of our company-owned and third party fleet |
Seeking safe and effective outdoor mosquito solutions |
| |
Seeking safe and effective outdoor mosquito solutions to help consumers enjoy their yard and outdoor spaces without the annoyance and inconvenience of mosquito bites. Mosquitos are a common nuisance and disease spreading insect. In addition to being vectors of disease, one of the main reasons we want to tackle this pest is to allow people to enjoy outdoor activities more frequently – e.g., eating outside, spending time with family, and watching outdoor sporting events. Here in P&G Ventures, we are looking for existing, in market solutions which exist globally that are specifically designed to kill or repel mosquitos. |
Seeking Recyclable Closure for Paper Beverage Bottles |
| |
We are seeking technologies for a re-closable fiber-based closure for a paper beverage bottle that can be recycled in the paper stream. |
Paper-based temperature sensor with high sensitivity |
| |
The CSIC has developed a thermo-resistive sensor comprising a semiconductor material onto a paper substrate. The use of this type of materials together with deposition technique of semiconductor element allow to design a thermo-resistive sensor with high sensitivity to abrupt temperature changes being up to an order of magnitude more sensitive than analogous sensors based on graphite. The use of paper as substrate makes this sensor cheap, easy to produce and biodegradable. The incorporation of this device in fabrics allows to monitor body temperature. Likewise, when integrated in packaging, it allows to record thermal history of goods. Industrial partners from the electronic components and sensors sectors or companies from textile and paper industry are being sought to collaborate through a patent license agreement. |
Navigation innovative system - a novel mathematical algorithm for route/path planning |
| |
A novel mathematical algorithm for route/path planning and monitoring, navigational software was created by researchers of the Jagiellonian University. The offer is an innovative mathematical approach based on area partition by time optimized trajectories. It offers new models based on wind/tidal stream/river current in marine/air (drone) navigation and trajectory planning, making use of perturbation (winds/currents/streams) instead of proceeding against them. |
Automated Tumour-Stroma Interface Zone Detection for Anti-Tumour Response Assessment by Immunogradient Indicators |
| |
The Immunogradient indicators are aimed at assessing tissue immune response properties in the context of tumour microenvironment and has a potential for prognostic/predictive biomarkers in cancer patients. |
